About Civum

Civum is a neutral political information platform for voters, students, professionals, and politicians alike.

We founded Civum because we are passionate about fact-based political discourse and making all political information as accessible as possible. Our goal is simply stated: To make it easy to look up candidates in elections, their parties, their platforms, as well as election results and appointments. You might want to browse through some parties' promises and top candidates before an election, investigate how Swedish parties align with EU party groups, or look up who sits in the parliament or other bodies, and see how they have voted and expressed themselves on various issues. You can conduct simple searches to find like-minded politics.

Civum was launched for the first time ahead of the 2024 EU election, with an election compass, an overview of election issues, and dedicated presentations of the parties and candidates. We had a special collaboration with high schools that used Civum in their teaching in connection with their EU school elections.

Since the 2024 EU election we have been expanding Civum with new technology to make it even easier to use.

The data in this app is an edited combination of in-house and publicly sourced data. Public data sources include Riksdagen and Valmyndigheten.
